Atlantic Immigration Program

Confederation Bridge in PEI Canada

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP) is a pathway to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers and international graduates who want to work and live in the Atlantic provinces of Canada (New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island). Also it helps employers in the these provinces to hire and retain skilled workforce.

The AIP includes three categories: the Atlantic High-Skilled Program, the Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program, and the Atlantic International Graduate Program. Each category has specific requirements and is designed to meet the needs of different types of workers and employers.

To be eligible for the AIP, skilled foreign workers and international graduates must have a job offer from an employer in the Atlantic provinces, meet the requirements of the specific category they are applying under, and meet other criteria such as language proficiency and education. Employers must also meet certain requirements.

The AIP is an important part of Canada's immigration strategy and plays a key role in helping the Atlantic provinces attract and retain top talent from around the world.
