Study Permit

A study permit is a document issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that allows international students to study in Canada. Eligibility

Below are some of the documents that are be required for applying for a study permit in Canada.

  • proof of acceptance to a recognized school, college, university or other educational institution.

  • proof of your identity, such as a valid passport or other government-issued identification document.

  • proof of financial support to cover your tuition and living expenses while you are studying in Canada. This may include guaranteed investment certificate (GIC), bank statements, scholarship letters, or a letter from a financial sponsor.

  • you may also be asked to provide additional documents, such as a letter of explanation, a Québec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ), a custodian declaration (if you are under the age of 18), or other documents as required.

  • IRCC officer may also requests additional documents.
